Dec 4, 2011 6:40 PM in response to Adam Berchby Gary Sumlak,You need to create a mask to produce the illusion of an object being behind another object. You can do this in After Affect or Motion.
Basically,
- put the clip you want to title on the V1,
- Put the title on v2
- Put a masked version of the clip on v1, on v3
Mask the forground (v3) clip you want to have the title behind. The mask will hide all parts of the clip you DO NOT want to see in the forground.
Now that you have the forground isolated, it is simply a matter of layering the clips, and using the blending option.
It's a very straight forward prossess, but it will take some time to create the mask

Motion helps somewhat simplify things by using the Analyze Motion/Match move behaviors, in terms of getting your text to look like it actually belongs there...
It can be a long and tedious process depending on several factors. If your footage shot with this is mind (.ie. with green screen) then that will immensely simply things.
