Boot Camp v4.0.1 hangs while downloading Windows Support Software

Boot Camp Assistant successfully formats USB drive to install Windows 7, starts to download "Windows Support Software" but only reaches ~20% and stops there. This is relevant to the latest MBA and Boot Camp.

There are at least three discussion threads with this issue (where it is discussed as "slow" or "hung")

Tried looking for the support drivers directly here, but couldn't find them:

Can someone offer a proven solution, or a link to download the drivers directly.

An update. I have tried 12 times to download the Windows Support Software, no luck.

I just tried with my partner's 2010 Macbook Air 11" with Boot Camp v4.0.1 and it downloaded first time, took about 40 minutes for 671.3Mb.

The MBA 2010 WIndows Support Software is not compatible with the MBA 2011.

I started the MBA 2011 WIndows Support Software download last night and just left it. It had completed this morning. It looks like the Apple server is just slow. Looking at the file details, the download took about 3 hours for 716.7Mb.
