iphone 3gs os5 shuts down while talking

My wife's iphone is turning off while she is talking on it for more than about 3 minutes.

The phone goes completely blank then about 1 minute later begins to reboot.

She took it to the Apple Store in Perth WA, and they gave her a "new phone" with the latest OS 5 installed.

She still has the same problem with the new phone
