FaceTime activation

I am trying to set up my FaceTime and although I have an Apple id and password (all verified) I get a message that says "The server encountered an error procethe system is unable to process the registration. Please try later". How can I overcome this?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
