My Macbook icons on my desktop froze and won't drag or drop.

Hi. If anyone can help me. Yesterday I tried to clean out my cache and then when I rebooted all heck broke loose. I've run diagnostics and everything checks out okay.

The problems I'm expreriencing are:

1. My icons on my desktop will no longer move, drag or drop.

2. My printer gives me an error. I've reinstalled to no avail.

3. My printer fonts and desktop fonts have become pixelated.

4. I can no longer cut or paste in preview.

5. My spotlight has disappeared from my menu bar.
