my ipod charging port is damaged and I want to know how much Apple will charge me to fix or replace it. (It's not the charging cord)

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for:

A third-party place like this one may be less expensive. Here is one. Google for more.

I'm sure you can buy a new one somewhere besides Apple, but if that's what you want, I'd suggest you go to Apple and ask for one.
