System Preferences will not open Mac OS X version 10.6.8?
When double clicking on System Preferences, nothing happens. Doesnt even open. Any sugessstions

Step one is to create a new admin user account, log into it, and see if the problem persists.
You might also see what happens if you temporarily rename or delete com.apple.systempreferences.plist in you Preferences.
