Mac OS equivalent to clipboard?

Question

Is there a Mac OS equivalent to clipboard? I accidentally copied something else, before pasting what I cut! Thanks in advance for any help! : )

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Finder - Edit - show clipboard

But, the Mac Clipboard only retains the last entry (always been that way too).
