My magic mouse works fine for a while then goes really slow and sluggish to respond.
Disappointed for £60 and Apple products are normally higher quality.
Tried Resetting device up and bluetooth but just not working.

Try new batteries and cleaning the area around the eye on the bottom. sometimes dirt can cause them to be unresponsive.

Buy a new one, put old one back in the box new one came in return it to the store as defective. AKA the switcheroo!!!
I dont think it will help i think its the software it seems to be since Lion was installed.
My magic mouse works great before and after Lion update. I would bet it is the mouse.
Did you set the tracking speed in the mouse preferences?
See if a smc reset has any affect.
You didn't specify your computer, i.e., mac pro, imac, macbook, etc. so how far is the mouse from your machine?
Its a new Macbook Pro
Mouse is about a Foot away.

If it's new, and you convenience yourself that the mouse is defective, don't spend much time screwing with it. You're under warrantee. Just ask apple to replace it.
That hasnt fixed it but not sure SMC was correct for my model.
