why won't my ical open?

I have had my macbook pro for about a month now and have recently synced my ical to my iphone.

Everything worked fine, but a few days ago I went to open ical on my mac and it wouldn't open.

The icon bounces but nothing opens. I've force quit it and reopened it a few times and still won't open.
