Always had to do this when copying data off for a clean rebuild of a SAN and moving back on. Otherwise you will run into issues. The newest version of Xsan on Lion will allow you to create case insensitive Xsan volumes and convert existing case sensitive volumes to case insensitive but Apple has never really said what happens when you convert it like that and you have conflicting file names.
Obviously this leads to other issues like when you want to copy files off the Pegasus to a normal HFS external hard drive, etc. You will always run into this.

Dec 22, 2011 6:04 AM in response to Christopher Collinsby cedricfromseminole,Hi Chris Thanks for your response. I did change to HFS+ Case sensitive and it helped. problem I do have is with pegasus taht already has data on.
The P2 mxf files are still a mystery as it only happens with some files.
Do you know of a app that can manage copying?
