I have a problem with icloud photostream. It seemed to lock up some functions in Photos

After I downloaded icloud control panel and turned on photostream everything worked very well except that there were 599 photos loaded into a new file folder "My Photos"

Ever since then there is the little spinning circle on the screen. I also have lost several functions in Photos. I can not delete "My Photos" folder or anything in it

I have tried everything I can think of including a system reset.

I need some help with this one!
