My Ipad says that I am in another country

All of the sudden my iPad says that I am in China when I am in Mississippi. WHen I try to locate it, it shows me a street in China. Help!

Try looking into your router software. The router was probably made in china and thinks it's in china. If the software has any sort of timezone or anything on it, and if you can alter than, then it might show your iPad in the right location.


You can know for sure that it's just the router if you take your iPad to a wifi hotspot somewhere (like mcdonalds, a coffee shop, etc) and try location services. If they show your location correctly, then it's your router and it's doubtful that Apple will fix your iPad because there's nothing wrong with it.


If you take the iPad to a different location and it still persists in thinking you're in china, then it's likely a problem with the iPad.


As many people have this issue there must be a brand of routers out there that aren't resetting their location or have a bug in their software.
