For the past few weeks my MacBook Pro has been making beeping sounds what feels like every 40 or so minutes (I don't keep count) it is quite annoying, and I even hear it when it is on the floor in sleep.
Does anybody know what it means/how to stop it?? It can get annoying.

Well I don't know if it's the same for everyone but mine is every 30min. Since I knew when it was going to happen, I recorded it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mdMbNh88N4 Did you fix the beeping issue? Mine just started a two days ago.
That sound (Victor1CC1) sounds like a low battery sound on an old-style cell Nokia cell phone. Is there such a phone in the vicinity?
Thank you so much. Yes, my friend's phone that he left for 3 whole days was apparently running out of battery and thus made the beeping sounds. I hate him right now cause I wasted so much time researching the problem... I was about to go to the Apple Store too. Anyways, thank you for the help. 🙂
