You don't tell us what Mac OS version you're running. I'll assume it's 10.7. Select Safari > Preferences > Privacy > "Remove all website data." Then quit Safari and relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. That will stop the page from reloading automatically.
Open your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.

I am using LION and all sortware is up to date. "Rick Rolled" is a virus that has taken over safari. A pop up screen dances around and when I attempt to close it a second pop up keeps appearing. I have Force Quit several times without being able to stop the pop upos.
When I start up Safari, my screen automatically goes to a pop up saying I've been Rick Rolled. The pop up dances about the screen. I must use launch pad to freeze the pop up and then Force Quit Safari. When i restart, it happens again. I've tried this several times. Even shutting down completely and then starting up. Google Chrome is not affexted. Please help!
Please translate 'Rick Rolled'. What error are you experiencing?
What version of Safari and what OS are you using?
Thank You Linc. I am using Mac OS X 10.7.2 and have now stopped the pop ups. Your response was excellent.
