Hi. I have my system preferences set to British English and pages set to English. I'm getting American spellings can anybody tell me how to change this? Thanks

Try Inspector > Text > More > Language > British English
Try Inspector > Text > More > Language > British English
in System preferences > Language and Text > Language > If you only have English the add British English and make sure it is at the top. Now Pages will have British English as default.
To the Americans English is American and not British!

They language change will not apply to already saved documents. On those you have to manually do as Tomm posted.
Which words are you getting the wrong spelling for??
Didn't realise it wouldn't work on already save document. Thanks for your help again all spellings are English.🙂
