I have had the same problem and MAY have found a fix.


In Finder use the Go to folder and enter the following:


~/library/application support/icloud/


Drag that Accounts folder to your desktop, and Restart your Mac. Once it has restarted go to System Prefs/iCloud and sign in again. Once this is done check back to ~/library/application support/icloud/ and compare the contents of the new Accounts folder with the one on your desktop. If they are different - you may have solved the problem - fingers crossed.

NOTE: IIn Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks and Yosemite the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.


For Mavericks and Yosemite go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring up this window:
