Driver in MacOS X 10.4 for the HP 2800 series - Question

Have a client looking to buy a HP 2800 inkjet with built-in Postscript RIP and 96MB ram. (Currently running 10.3 looking to upgrade shortly)

HP's support site states that MacOS support is only offered for "networked" models (like the 2800dt and 2800dtn)

HP's note regarding the included driver in 10.4 calls it a "Print-only" driver... Well it's a printer, I expect it to print, what limitations are involved with the 10.4 driver?

Does it support the 2800, or only the networked versions?

Does it somehow by-pass the RIP and treat it like a $99 4-color inkjet?

What's the catch? What features of the 2800 do the included driver support?

Thanks
