MPEG Transfer Stream in Final Cut

Hello guys,

I have a video clip from Panasonic AG-HMC150P, which is MPEG Transport Stream.

I need to import it into FCP, preferably as ProRes. But how to do this?

I did try to open this MTS clip with MPEG Streamclip, hoping that I will be able to convert it to ProRes from there.

But it says that it is unrecognized file type.

Any tip or advise?

Thank you.

Hello Shane,

thank you so much for that great tutorial.

It looks like the file I am trying to import into FCP is incomplete.

I have received that file over the internet and it is not in the folder. It is just one single .MTS file.

When I go to Log and transfer/Import Preferences and select AVCHD - ProRes 422

and then try to import that file, it doesn't see it.

Is it because the SD card structure is missing?

Thanks again for your support.
