Accessing "settings" then WiFi on my iPad2 and iPhone 4

Since upgrading to iOS5 I have been having very slow access to the "settings" once I touch the icon. It takes longer for the menu to come up.

Once I get into the "settings" menu, accessing WiFi networks are not happening even though the have the "Ask to join Networks" turned on. It does not see available networks nomatter where I am, home, work, etc.

I have to power off my iPad or iPhone for the network to be accessed. Even after I access the WiFi network it is inconsistant, of course it could be the actual signal but other devices are not dropping off of the same signal.

This is getting frustrating. Is anyone else having similar issues or does anyone have any solution?

Hope to hear something.
