hi. thank you.

sorry. what i meant is that i have a jpg or tiff and i want to use this in the "virtual machine" as a screensaver. i think from what i have read I can put it in the directory with the other items like this in windows (or somehow) but i tried this already by just changing the file extention of a jpg and putting it in the folder and it didn't show up in the dialog.

so it was suggested that I d/l some free app to convert jpg to scr but i am feeling like a dope when i can't find anything that seems to do this.

i guess it would need to be for windows os i suppose but i wasn't exactly sure...

anyway, waiting on an answer from the windows forums but i thought to ask here because i am often surprised by what i can do on the mac...

belated apologies for the off-topic as well...

Well, I'm no expert on Windows (although I had to use it at work for several years), but the usual way would be to have the pics (as .jpg) in afolder which was then referenced by the .scr application to create an animation or slide show or whatever.

What programme you use to compile the executable I'll leave to the Windows boys.

Good luck with it,

ps - a thought occurs - have you tried looking in the Windows control panel to see if you can use your own pics with something like a Ken Burns effect? That's what I do on my Mac (via Sys Prefs > Desktop & screensaver).
