Why can't I drag music from iTunes library to my iphone?

I understand the iPhone can only sync with on computer. But that doesn't mean I can't transfer music from other computer right? f the computer is not authorized, I used to still be able to drag and dropfrom library to my iphone. I didn't check the "manually manage music and video" button because I don't want to sync and erase everything from my authorized computer.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1

You don't drag and drop from your other computer to your iPhone. You need to copy the song files you want to transfer to the computer you use to sync with your iPhone and then import them into iTunes on this computer (by using the File -> Add to Library menu in iTunes). Once you have this files imported into iTunes on this computer you can sync your iPhone again and the newly added files will transfer to your iPhone.
