o.k., just built my first website with iWeb '09....
when I access the VideoReel page from my MacPro, 10.6.8 with Safari 5.1.1, I get a Quicktime window which loads, then plays the video. hoo-rah!
when I access that same VideoReel page from my MacBook Pro, also 10.6.8, also Safari 5.1.1, I get nothing....I wait a while and still nothing...no Quicktime window, no movie.
help?

Perhaps your video uses a codec or plugin that's only available on your Pro machine.
Check that.
Note that iWeb is not involved. So try to play the video without an iWeb page.

Here's the deal....
The video is a standard h.264 .mov
The results:
MacPro (10.6.8)
Firefox 8.0.1 - plays fine
Safari 5.1.1 - - plays fine
MacBook Pro (10.6.8)
Firefox 8.0.1 - plays fine
Safari 5.1.1 - - gives no Quicktime window, does not play
Safari Quicktime on MacBook Pro no go?
