Q: running 68k apps on PPC

Hi all,

I downloaded some old games for motorola 68k (B&W screen), they work great on my PB 180 (system 7.1) and seem to run on my PB g3 wallstreet /os 9.2.2) too except for the sound which doesnt work

how to make the sound work on my wallstreet and and more generally how to run fine motorola 68k applications on powerpc?

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8), G4 1.33 ghz 1 gb RAM

If your PowerPC is the PowerBook running OS 10.5.8, you can't. In earlier versions of OS X, you could run older apps in classic mode if you had OS 9.x installed. However, many games don't operate properly in classic mode.

If you want to run the games, get an older model G3 or G4 Mac running OS 9 or below.

ok, i found that os 9 has a built in kind of emulator for 68k.....

Probably sound cant work correctly beacause of a sound card missing in older 68k macs and viceversa a synthesizer buzzer missing starting from g3 to newer macs
