I plug my phone into my iMac and try to add music and it will not sync.
it says it is syncing but when i look on my phone there is no music.
When I plug my iphone into the computer....all my music shows up under my phone on itunes but it is not on the phone device. strange.
I'm having the same issue for about a week now and I can't seem to figure it out. For example when my iphone is hooked up to my mac it says all 25 songs are in the playlist, but once I disconnect it there are only 5 songs. I tried syncing it again but don't get an answer.
If you figure this out please share 🙂 It's so frustrating.
I've just spent almost half a day to try to get iTunes to transfer new music rather than replace it and delete from my iPhone. I gave up and used CopyTrans Manager. Sooooo much easier! I just created a folder on my desktop, copy and pasted music from iTunes library and dragged the folder to my phone. Itunes so badly designed - should be simple to add rather than replace. I don't know anyone who would want to replace rather than add data - it's just illogical. Anyway, rant over, good luck and I hope this helps 🙂
try backing up everything on icloud then restore and sync... worked for me
i have similar problem, 54 songs in my playlist but when i sync only 30 songs on ipad. i temporarily fix it by manually downloading songs on the device, but next time i sync the playlist gets cut on the PC

How did you determine that, being that you had to post in a thread with no activity for 6 months after a forum search? Also, define "a lot of people" relative to the 100 million + iPhone owners. You came to troll.
Actually, I didn't come seeking your arrogant observation.
I have been searching through several threads, modular, looking for a solution to my technical issue. And I haven't found a solution that applies to my iphone 4s/mountain lion os situation.

My Iphone 3GS is no longer syncing with Itunes either. When I searched Google, this thread was one of the top ones listed, which is how I found it. Given that I'm running an 18 month old phone, I don't care if a thread is 6 months old. I wanted to see if anyone had a good suggestions.
(I'm running Itunes 10.6.0.40 with a Windows 7 OS machine. I will keep looking for suggestions.)
Well, my temporary fix was to go to my iTunes Music, then choose the menu option Edit/Select All, then Edit/Copy. I then went to my iPhone Music, then chose the menu option Edit/Paste. Now it doesn't fix the Syncing, but does the same job to apple find a solution.
