Start Up Disk Full with "Other"

Question

I've been getting the message that my Start Up Disk Is Full. So I went to About This Mac > More Info > Storage and noticed the following:

Any idea how I can have nothing but Other? I am using Lion 10.7.2 and have a pretty low number of songs, photos, or files.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Other simply refers to everything that doesn't fit into the other five categories. This includes all OS files, applications, data, etc.

You can use a utility like OmniDiskSweeper 1.7.2 to see what is on your drive.
