What's New in Aperture 3.2.2

This update resolves an issue that could prevent auto-imported Photo Stream images from being displayed in the library after your Photo Stream hits 1,000 images.

For more information about this update seehttp://support.apple.com/kb/TS4144

Included in Aperture 3.2

  • Addresses compatibility with iCloud and iOS 5
  • Resolves an issue that could cause the "Loading" indicator to reappear in the Viewer when cropping a photo
  • Aperture now automatically relaunches into Full Screen mode if the application was in Full Screen mode when last quit
  • Pinch-to-zoom gesture now automatically activates Zoom mode in the Viewer
  • Left and right swipe gestures can now be used to navigate between photos in the Viewer
  • Microsoft Outlook can now be chosen in Preferences as the application used by Aperture for emailing photos
  • Fixes a problem that could cause Aperture, running on OS X Lion, to quit unexpectedly when using brushes to apply adjustments
  • Loupe now correctly displays magnification levels between 50-100%
  • Fixes an issue that could cause Aperture, running on OS X Lion, to display the incorrect color profile on externally edited images
  • Import window now includes an option to delete photos from iPhone and iPad after they have been imported into Aperture
  • The Lift & Stamp tool now displays the correct cursor icons when being used in Split View and Viewer only modes

The update is recommended for all users of Aperture 3.

Hi Tony -- Works here (USA).  I downloaded and installed a bit after posting the topic; and I just checked the KB link.

    Try again in an hour?

I lost the tilt and crop changes when I loaded a rebuilt Library (I know, weird).  Installed the update to restore this 3.2.1 functionality.  Seems to have worked.

Hey Kirby, what happened? Crops and straightening that you had done previously went away when you loaded one of your libraries? A rebuilt library meaning, just one you had rebuilt before?

Or you had lost the changes when you rebuilt a library previously, but then regained them when you installed the new update?

Sorry, just wondering what exactly happened there. You don't seem too bothered so, maybe not a huge issue?

    Thanks

wow, that's a lot that the new update promises!

In Germany only a new Keynote Update is available ....

This minute the new aperture Update is installing

    Good Night

The text is also showing what 3.2 fixed previously.

No -- didn't lose any adjustments.  Aperture reverted to the bothersome behavior -- introduced in 3.2? -- of changing the aspect ratio when re-straightening an Image to whatever default happened to be close.  (Better understood by example: I'd crop using "Do not constrain", do some other adjusting, and then return to the crop tool and only after moving a sizing handle to move one edge and watching the entire rectangle change discover that I was now cropped constrained to, for example, 4x5 or "Master Aspect Ratio".)  And I lost the ability to start a crop outside the Image.  Frank made the good recommendation of re-installing Aperture, which I simply hadn't gotten around to before 3.2.2 showed up.

I started a topic -- not worth reading now  .  3.2.2 seems to have given me back what I lost.

Ah, okay. Got ya. Thanks for clarifying.

OK, software update in Australia is now seeing 3.2.2, be warned though it is 500mb+. Annoying the fact that I have to install this on four machines, used to be that you could save the package and just copy it across.

    Tony

Just remembered that the updates are available on the downloads pages! This one is not there yet but should not be too long before it is.

    Thanks for the Info.

I'm still loading Galleries to MM from Aperture.

Will 3.2.2 still allow it ?

Just thinking to delay after Xmas the cleaning of Galleries because I'm afraid it could be not possible after June 2012,

    Thanks for your opinion.

I have just published a Mobile Me Gallery using AP 3.2.2. and OS 10.7.2, no probems so far.

Well, I think after June 2012 no further cleaning will be necessary, because your galleries will be gone with the wind ...

    Cool,

I'm trying to update from Aperture 3.0.3 to 3.2.2 and after I downloaded it and went through installation, Aperture is still showing version 3.0.3, even after restart.  What gives?

Check to make sure you don't have more than one copy of Aperture on your machine.

Software updater will update the copy that is in your Applications folder (not a subfolder of the Applications folder) and named simply Aperture.

    Hi Shuttersp33d,

I checked my app folder and see only one Aperture icon named simply Aperture.  So you are saying when I use software update, Aperture should automatically update itself to 3.2.2?  I just updated and only got the latest iTunes.  Do I need to buy the update for $80?  http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Apple-Aperture.shtml
