Migration Assistant from PC to Mac error

Have a look in the Console.app (Applications > Utilities). Had the same problem, and there it was the Outlook PST file. I moved the file on the PC to a different location and restarted the assistant. Now it was walking through as expected. But afterwards i had to manually transfer the Outlook PST file.

I have the same error, using Windows XP on the PC. Is the Console.app on the PC?

My .pst file is located at

c:\Documents and Settings\ADMIN\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

Look on your PC in: "C:\Users\(admin)\AppData\local\temp" for a file called "SystemMigration.txt"

In this file aat the end there should be the error, where the assistant is hanging on.

Thanks for the info. I found the problem the way you described in the file was calendar items. I deleted several entries and all of archive calendar entries, and the Migration then worked.

I have the same problem trying to run Migration Assistant on my PC running XP.

I have searched my PC high and low but cannot find the file "SystemMigration.txt"

I have also searched for any file containing "Migration" but no success either

Can you help please?

The file is actually "SystemMigration.log"

...and it explained that my Outlook was also crashing the migration assistant on my Vista laptop.
