I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 5.0.1 on it and a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.7.2.
Is there a way to transfer my game progress (Angry Birds and Plants VS Zombies) from my iPhone to my Mac?
I've just purchased those games on the Mac too and they're cool but I'd like to transfer all my progress now!
Please I can't seem to find a proper answer to this anywhere else.

Sorry, there is no way to do that.
Jesus are you serious? No way to transfer progress?! You can do it between iPhone's 'cause I had a 3GS and have just done that and it went smooth, and you can't do it with a Mac? 😟
iOS apps do not run on any computer, and app data is stored in only two places: on your phone, and as part of your iPhone backup...that's why you can transfer app data from iPhone to iPhone.

Interesting. PhoneView is a great app(highly recommended), so you have nothing to lose but the price of the app. Give it a shot. But, a word of caution: be careful messing with the backup folder, one screw up can render all of the data un-recoverable. So, copy the folder to your desktop before you start. Post back if it works.
I used to demo version to take the highscore file 😉 but it's weird now I can't manage to find the Rovio folder where the original highscore file is. So I can't change it! I swear it's not there, even though I've already played the game and made highscores. Weird really... But the file I've extracted so I'm gonna try again and I'm surely posting back if I succeed.
I think you shoudl email the app company.
There seems to be no reason that this cannot work.
Ask them to impliment this.
Maybe if they save progress to the cloud, then you can pull it off there.
That would be a great feature of gamecenter, and other online score centers.
Or if you can email it out of the iApp to your mac?

It's just the Angry Birds original version though, I have the RIO and Seasons as well on my Mac but there's no folder to transfer the iPhone highscores to, there's only the Original version one but that's enough. 🙂 SO it's possible!
I couldn't find the proper folder because my user library folder was hidden, I suppose it's a Lion default setting 'cause I managed to see it with LionTweaks, then just copied the iPhone highscores file where the Mac one was and got my progress. This could help LOTS of people if I just knew how but I'm new here... Anyways here's proof, there are all of the golden eggs too, which is great! 😀
