Is there a quick way to delete multiple songs from iPhone

I have itunes match activated on my iPhone.

My question is: Once the phones memory is full, I assume the only way to hear new music from the cloud on my phone is to delete some of the music already downloaded onto the iPhone.

I really don't want to swipe delete 1GB of songs one by one to make room for more music.

Deleting a playlist full of songs will delete the playlist but not the songs themselves.

Is there a way to delete multiple songs from my iPhone to make room for more music.

I want to be able to do this on the go, not sitting at home on iTunes.

Thank you

iphone 4, iOS 4

Yup, you can swipe the tracks, albums, or artists to delete them, like spidertaker said. That works great.

Another thing you can do, if you want to delete ALL of your downloaded music at the same time, is go to Settings > General > Usage on your iPhone, and select "Music." Then just press Edit, and delete it. That deletes every single downloaded song in one shot, if you want to start over.

I have a Gateway computer. I connected my iPhone 6 (iOS 10.3.3) to my computer, iTunes popped up, I went to my music, chose albums category, I clicked the stop and dragged this blue square or rectangle shape all the way down, I then right clicked and chose delete from library, and I deleted all my songs. Now, I can start over and chose the songs that I actually like.

Thanks I see that.

But the idea was to not have to re-download all my music every month. I wanted to save some of my 2GB data limit for something else.

The thing that got me thinking about this in the first place was that eventually my iPhone will fill up with music, and then where do you go from there. If you see a nice app you wanted to download, you have no memory left, so you have to delete something.

Deleting all the music is not only a waste of data, but re-downloading takes quite a long time if you are not on wi-fi.

I was just hoping for a way to delete all the songs from a playlist or something, so that could continue without completely starting over.

A short coming of itunes match I guess.

Thanks
