MSN Messenger and Video chat - New to iSight

Does anyone know how I can video link with someone on a PC who is using their webcam and do I HAVE to subscribe to .Mac to video conference or indeed even use my isight?

iMac G5 (iSight), Mac OS X (10.4.4)

Hi Madaboutmack!

Welcome to the apple discussions.

No, you don't need a .Mac account to connect to someone to conduct a video chat.

All you need is iChatAV with a standard AIM sign-on (.mac will work too!)

The windows side needs AIM 5.9 (not Tritan) and needs to be tuned as explained here: http://www.mvldesign.com/videoconferencetutorial.html

I'd recommend connecting to someone that has a known working set-up (preferably on another mac) then work on connecting to windows users.
