Dec 8, 2011 10:43 PM in response to JoeyT22by TheSmokeMonster,★Helpfuleh, this sounds hardware related. but if you want to try a trouble shooting thing that they'll probably have you do if you call in, is a PRAM reset. This way, you'll be able to know a little more clearly if it is Hardware or software,
PRAM reset http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
Resetting PRAM and NVRAM
- Shut down the computer.
- Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
- Turn on the computer.
- Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
- Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
- Release the keys.

No one here can answer that. Your computer will need to be examined to determine exactly what is wrong with it. After the diagnoses (free), the repair techs will be able to provide you witih an estimate along with the labor costs and taxes.
See if any of these articles apply to you -
