I hav been having this problem since 3 months now. No matter what background i give to my desktop, in just few minutes it changes to blue screen. I have tried almost everything, even have installed the OS again but it dint help.
If anyone can suggest a solution to this I would really appreciate.

If that is correct, click your Apple menu then click Software Update from the drop down menu. Your system software is very outdated.
If your software is actually up to date, go to ~/Library/Preferences
Move the com.apple.desktop.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.

Updated the software (Now it's Mac OS X Version 10.6.8), Moved the com.apple.desktop.plist file to trash, then restarted the computer. Didn't work.The background doesnt remain even for 2 minutes, quickly turns into blue screen.
Please sugest if there is any other solution to this problem.
