Q: Multiple pages

In DB I now have each page displayed (in list form) as two pages side by side with the data fields spread between the two.

I have clicked something I should not have and can't get the each page displayed with all the fields as before.

Any help?

Thanks

Arthur

Possibly you need to press this button:

Thank you for your reply, Roger.

    Perhaps I was unclear.

My db is displayed with the pages as

    1  2

    3  4

I am used to having them displayed (which I want)

    1

    2

    3

    4

Somehow I have changed the display and I want to return to the later.

    Thanks

    Arthur

You said originally, 'In DB I now have each page displayed (in list form) as two pages side by side with the data fields spread between the two.' Do you mean like this?

    list.jpg

    as opposed to

    layout.jpg

(layout as set by you, one page follows another vertically)

If not, a screenshot wold help if it's not sensitive information (or if you can blur it out).

What I have is the first image ie two pages facing such as a book.

What I would like and have had before is for each page to follow the other.

I have a screen shot but can't attach it.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks again for trying to help.

If your DB looks like the first image, in a grid like a spreadsheet, and you want it to look like the second image, click the button I indicated.

If you want to retain the grid appearance, try going to File>Page Setup and changing to Landscape.

    Hi Arthur,

When you click on the Layout menu, you should see a list similar to this. If you are in List, there should be a check as indicated by the green arrow.

Note the grey line below "Edit Layouts...". Are there any items below that line (see blue bracket)? (except for "Layout 1", none are likely to match mine.) Try choosing Browse (first item in the menu), then choosing the items in your list (blue bracket area), one at a time.

If you are (and have been all along) in List, you can return to that mode by clicking List in the layout menu.

List will show you a single page across only if all of your fields ("columns" in this mode) will fit into that space.

There are few adjustments available to you:

    • switch page orientation from Portrait to Landscape, as suggested by Roger.
    • In the Format menu, choose Document..., then set the left and right margins to a smaller value
-You'll also see an option to show pages side by side or one above the other in this dialogue, but
that choice is not available in List mode.
    • Make the individual columns narrower, so that more of them can fit onto the page.
      - Place the mouse pointer in the header and on the boundary between two columns.
When the pointer changes to a vertical line with a double-headed arrow crossing it, click and drag left or right
to change te width of the column to the left of the boundary.

    Regards,

    Barry
