The phone doesn't appear on the desktop or on iphoto.
I logged into icloud.com but no photos appear there either.
i have been taking loads of photos with my lovely new iphone and am really worried about losing them!!
Can't upgrade OS as I have a powerPC mac mini.
iPhone 4S, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
Open Image Capture.
Connect your iPhone.
Save the picture off the iPhone into your Mac.

You can also use Image Capture to import pictures from digital cameras and is the default program executed when scanning images on supported OS X scanners.

When you plug in the iPhone open up iPhoto on your Mac. And then in the left hand column under devices you should see your iPhone.
Select the iPhone, select import all or select the photos/videos you want then select the import selected button.
