How can I get iPad apps mirrored on my AppleTV?
I get the audio playing - but no video. Any ideas?

Not all video apps support mirroring. Movies and other video have funny rules about that.

I had used the StarWalk app though in Best Buy - Angry Birds as well. Are these unsupported?
What are you using to connect the i pad to the tv? Airplay? Which I pad you have? only I pad 2 can mirror.

Not all apps or movies support air play or mirroring. Does anything work? Can you see your home screen on the TV?
how are you trying to access mirroring? There's a certain way. You need to double tap the home button, swipe to the right and you will see the airplay logo. Select Apple TV and switch mirroring ON. If you don't do that you are simply using airplay (not mirroring) which would explain the only sound bit
When I open the airplay logo - I only have two options - iPad and Apple TV - there is not option to mirror
Make sure your ATV is up to date (4.4.3 is the latest). Go to settings - general - about.

My ATV is set at 4.4.4, is that a newer version? Just rec'd the ATV. I get air play but do not see mirroring.
I am having the same problem. I have Apple TV generation 2 and I have updated the software on it. I have an iPad2 and the software version is 5.0.1 (ITunes indicates that my iPad software is up-to-date). When I double click my home key and swipe to get all the way to the right I have no AirPlay or Apple TV logo. All I have are my apps that I have installed. Am I doing something wrong or missing something? I just got this iPad for Christmas and I am still learning. Thank you!
Addition to my first post. After reading Apple's "Using AirPlay" and "Setting up and troubleshooting AirPlay Mirroring" I have gone into my wireless settings and I enabled both my Apple TV and iPad to access my wireless and I disabled my AP Isolation to allow devices logged into my wireless to communicate with each other. I have also temporarily disabled my firewall and security software on my computer. After doing all of this, I turned off both the Apple TV and my iPad and rebooted both and I still have no AirPlay or Apple TV logo on my iPad. Apple TV has software version 4.4.4 and iPad has 5.0.1. They are both using the same wireless, and AirPlay is on in the AppleTV settings. Anyone have any suggestions?
