Dec 9, 2011 2:58 PM in response to MrLOVERby KiltedTim,Did you bother to reset the device and set it up as new when you got it, or did you just pop in your SIM and go, complete with all the settings and apps and whatever else was on it when you picked it up?

Dec 9, 2011 3:14 PM in response to MrLOVERby KiltedTim,Are you trying to create a new one or sign in with an existing Apple ID?

Dec 9, 2011 3:17 PM in response to MrLOVERby KiltedTim,A quick google search makes it appear as though this is related to a problem with the embedded serial number in the device (iDevice or Mac) that is trying to create an account.
It's entirely possible there is a "problem" with the phone. Maybe it was repaired by a 3rd party, or jailbroken/hacked.
Is the phone Jailbroken or hacked to unlock it?

Dec 9, 2011 3:29 PM in response to KiltedTimby MrLOVER,sir as i have completly told my whole problem. i have tried everything!!!
surely i am trying to sign in with my existing apple ID, but i said i also tried to create a new id from icloud screen in settings.
My iPhone is Factory unlocked and it is now jailbrocken. but jailbreaking is not the problem as i have tried this before jailbreaking. it gives the same error regardless of jailbreaking. and you might have not passed through the different forums where this issue is being questioned, people having iPhone4 with iOS 5.0.1 are also facing the same problem.
this has nothing to do with jailbreaking or software unlocking! this is a limit of ids to create or sign in at one device from Apple i think.
I wanna know the solution? is there any website where i can unlink the previous id linked with this device or something like this? or i should hit my head to the wall

Whether jailbreaking is the problem or not is moot.
Jailbroken devices can not be discussed here. It is a violation of the terms of use for these forums.

Dec 11, 2011 6:56 AM in response to MrLOVERby KiltedTim,It is not necessarily possible to completely revert to a virgin state after jailbreaking. I understand you want an answer. The fact is, you can't get it here. Try Google.

Mar 21, 2012 1:35 PM in response to KiltedTimby CP1024,This has less to do with the phone, more to do with apple keeping an association between the device's ID number, and the Apple IDs that had been used on it. no relation to the phone being Jailbroken or not being reset. How may one remove the Apple ID from the Serial number's list of previously used Apple IDs?

Jun 21, 2012 11:12 AM in response to CP1024by KiltedTim,You seem to have missed the point. The device in question was jailbroken. All bets are off.
