Mainstage w/o logic pro

The wording is unclear so I want to confirm; if I buy only mainstage, will I get the softsynths, sampler and effect AUs? Or are these things only offered in logic but can be used in mainstage?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Yes, you get the instruments with the Mainstag download if you don't have Logic Pro. You don't need to have Logic installed !

Are you absolutely sure? I'm not prepared to spend $30 and get no instruments and effects.. thanks

all the plugins and instruments are part of Mainstage, just like before.

Yes it seems true. however, i read that you can't save certain things like patterns. This could be worked around in my case. if...

can you record the pattern as a loop, save and then export as a wav (or aiff but wav is preferred)? and can the loop be a perfect loop ie start on play from beginning, record exactly a bar (half a bar, two bars etc...), save loop and do again? i'm talking about the drum machine.

if you have the time; can i save samples in a project? or do i need to reload new samples everytime. I'm sure logic is what i need but even at it's lower price i can't afford it right now.

honestly i just want a chopper, looper with a tr grid that can save and export loops (and possibly even send midi commands)
