Airdrop not working.

Both devices are shown in the icon but once a item is sought to be transferred, It states that permission is being sought but then soon it automatically states that permission refused. Any suggestions?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

I found ths advice in an Apple forum;


My system was doing this when trying to transfer between my iMac & MacBook Air. Apple Support had me go to System Preferences>Users & Groups>Apple ID>Change. After entering my password, I removed my ID using the minus sign & then added it back exactly like it was using the plus sign. After this process on both machines, Air Drop is working properly.

Does this work? If so, post with your results; future posters will profit from a similar question. If no, we'll get an even better answer!
