Airport express keeps temporarily losing link to network is there a way I can boost network strength
What it the make & model of the wireless router that is providing the wireless network that the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) is configured to join?
The network is an airport extreme and distance between stations is about 40 feet.
Both base stations are definately within range of each other. Are there any walls, ceilings, floors between them? Do you live in an area with a high concentration of other Wi-Fis present, like in an apartment complex or dorm?
If you download and run iStumbler do other Wi-Fi networks appear? If so, look for those with the highest signal value and note which channels they are operating on. You may then, want to switch channels on your network to be at least 3-5 channels away on the 2.4 GHz band.
I found the answer by accident. I had my music speakers on the express, and when I removed them, the airport stopped losing signal. Been working for over a week now!
