Screen Saver changes each night on it's own to flurry - OXS Lion

Hi, I have a Mini running 10.7.2 and use the photo's option in the screen saver to point to a directory of pictures to use for the screen saver.

Each night at some point the screen saver changes from this selection back to Flurry on it's own.

Any ideas how I can fix it. I've tried deleting the plist file in the Library for Screen Savers.. still no change.

I use this screen saver in my store to show off our work, so I'd really like to get it working correctly.

Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library". Then, go to Preferences/com.apple.screensaver.plist.lockfile. Delete that file and relaunch and reset Screensaver.

Sorry should have detailed that.. I have deleted that file as well as the plist file.

Same result

One interesting thing I just noticed.. "wake" computer from the flurry screen saver, then go back to my hot corner to activate the screen saver - goes back to the pictures screen saver.. no need to open system preferences..

I found a fix. In the ~library/preferences/byhost directory. My directory had a broken link. I deleted it. Rebooted. The folder came back with various files and I was able to change my screensaver! Good luck.

What files did you delete, or did you delete the whole directory (scary)? A little more detail would be good.

On my machine, the directory BYHOST was a broken link rather than a directory. I deleted the link. Afterwards, I rebooted my machine. A new BYHOST directory was created automatically and my screen saver settings now work.
