Lion in and now the express slot will not read a card.

Okay i am a pro photographer, jumped into the lion and now my compact flash cards that used to read in seconds will not fire up and read in the express card slot, what the heck could you do to me for this, i also had to reload itunes, which seems odd. I need my express card slot working.... Help Please
