Someone Stole my iPhone and I have the app Downloaded BUT I NEED HELP !!

on the computer you synced it to open iTunes and click edit >preferences >devices. Then place your mouse OVER your iPhone name and copy down the serial number.

If the thief hasn't wiped tour phone you tell him to go on settings > general > about, then match the serial number to get proof.

There is no way to track via serial number - Apple won't do it. The only recourse is to contact the police and your insurance provider (assuming your electronics are covered).

There's nothing you can do if he turned the phone off or restored it. Find My Phone will no longer work. Did you have a passcode set?

Legally, the only thing you can do is report it to the police, and your carrier. You did report it to your carrier, right??

I wasn't referring to you either. EXACTLY how would he compare the serial # with the one on the stolen phone? The thief denies stealing it, likely sold or got rid of it, and no one has the phone to check the #.

WalaafromLaval can find the serial number through itunes by doing i what i said in the first reply.

Then he tells the thief if you are so confident then let me see if your phone is the same serial number which i have.

He does that by also following what i put in my first reply!!

I understand you, but you don't get it at all. The thief denies having his phone, and if he still has it (unlikely), he would have to be a total moron to show it to him. UNDERSTAND?

The only way a S/N would be useful is if the phone were recovered by the police.

So that means the thief will have to let him compare otherwise it is obvious that he stole it.
