iPod Touch 8GB 2007 not turning on or anything and burns when charged!

I've used the iPod Touch for awhile but before the Touch "died" out it was burning for a couple days. Then it just wouldn't turn on no more. Whenever I tried charging it no screen would come up and the area where it is charging would start to get hot.. What do I do?
