How do I empty the "open page with" Menu?

Hi,

I have the Develop menu enabled in Safari 5.1.2 and Parallels or VMWare Fusion has filled the "open page with" menu with thousands of Windows applications.

How do I empty this menu and return it to just the Mac browsers I use?

I have tried completely resetting Safari but this did not work!

Can anyone help?

Found an old hint that did not work for Lion so downloaded Cocktail and used it to Rebuild Launch Services database.

Problem gone!
