iPhones appearing in iPhoto when not connected

I have had to restore my computer from a previous time in Time Machine and now when I open iPhoto I have two iPhones listen under devices. When I click on one of them it shows dotted squares instead of images.

I have tried secondary clicking (press trackpad with two fingers) and choosing unmount and it disapears. But when I open it up again they both come back.

I have iPhoto 11 version 9.2.1(628)

I have the exact same issue although I did not recently recover from Time Machine backup.

Device appears again as soon as I restart iPhoto.

Anyone having a solution to this? 😕

Managed to fix this somehow.

I shut down the computer and when the shut down window appeared untick the box asking to reopen windows when loging back in. When I rebooted my Mac and opened iPhoto then the iPhones listed under devices where gone. Everything works just as it should.
