sync session failed to start

"The iPod “Samia’s iPod touch” could not be synced because the sync session failed to start."

I'm having this error message, I restore my iPod touch (4th generation w/ iOS 5.0.1) to fix this but it did not work. Now, I cannot sync anything (apps, photos, music...) back on it.

What can I do to resolve this?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Thanks lllaass for the help but nothing there helped me. I restarted iTune and everything works fine now. I think it was a problem with the firewall. iTunes ask for permission at start up for incoming network, once you allow, the syncing is done gracefully. iTunes was open for a while and I guess it was blocking incoming network therefore not allowing my iPod to sync.

Do you want the application "iTunes.app" to accept incoming network connections?

Can anyone confirm this?
