Iphone "require passcode" 4-hour option no longer there

I noticed today after having to enter my passcode multiple times on my iPhone (white 4S 32gb) that the 4-hour option for require passcode is no longer there (which I had it set at). I even restarted the phone. Is it missing for everyone else? I don't recall seeing an update where this option would be removed. The longest duration is now 1-hour before a passcode is required.

That is correct. Longer than an hour is useless and defeat why the function is needed at all.

If your exchange account provider is using security features, they can override the default settings on the iPhone. The exchange server admin can have the server push out a security certificate to your iPhone which overrides the default iOS security features - they can require a complex password for example, they can restrict the choices for auto-lock timeout, as well as other security settings.

Deleting the exchange account removes the security certificate. However, if you set up the account again, it will re-install the certificate - basically if you want to use that exchange account, you must accept the security restrictions the owner of the account enforces.
