Hi We have a camera system that sits at cameras.domain.com:8080 that users access outside the network. When we are inside the network how do we redirect the machines to just go to 192.168.1.3:8080? I looked through DNS on Server Admin but got lost - any help would be appreciated |

If externally cameras.domain.com resolves via an external DNS server, then what you need to do is also run your own private DNS server internally. You would then define the same domain name and host name but have them instead resolve to the private IP address of 192.168.1.3
As your signature says you are running a Mac OS X Server you can use that as the DNS server.
Are there any other hosts in the same domain name that need to continue to resolve externally? For example www.domain.com? If so you need to add DNS records for those as well on your internall DNS server but define an external IP address for them.
John is obviously right on the money, however there may be a simpler way to resolve this if you dont want get into DNS on the server "I looked through DNS on Server Admin but got lost"
you could edit a local host file, which is feasable depending on the number of client machines.
If you choose the DNS on the server - route, maybe some more information on your configuration would help answer specific questions how to help.
