10.4 server & 10.7 client compatible?

running Workgroup Manager/Server Admin on a 10.4 server (also using ARD 3.4 admin) in open directory/LDAP environment. can a Lion 10.7 client deal with 10.4 server & login properly & have all assigned workgroup privileges, printer assigments, login environment, etc etc apply like my 10.3 & 10.4 clients? i think there was a pretty substantial jump w/ how 10.5 or 10.6 server handled things, so i'm skeptical. thx for any feedback or experience along these lines..
